Was having a play and found this website http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome.
It allows you to edit and play with your photos and it's online so doesn't waste any hard drive space :-)
One downside is that some of the features are only accessible if you pay for premium, but the basic no frills part still has enough in it.
