Great Picture Books for Senior Primary Kids

The Woven Flax Kete - Angie Belcher A book about a boy collecting treasures on his school trip. The treasure he 'finds' turn out to be things like Responsibility and Co-operation...

John Brown, Rose and the Midnight Cat - Jenny Wagner There is a LOT of symbolism in this book. The light and dark, the apple tree, the clock standing still, the black cat and who/what it represents. Then there is the relationships between the characters.

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus - Mo Williems A book FULL of persuasive language and expression! And an absolute favourite. I have read this book 4 times in a row before by request. The kids love it!
