This week's workshop objectives...

* Resources and sites to support implementation

of the key competencies into the classroom.

- Students discussing Managing Self video.

- Livebinder - Author Artichoke

- Livebinder - Author RichNZ (**NOTE the Author!!)
- Key Competency Questionaire (Students/Teacher)
- Key Competencies in ICT
- A link between Key Competencies and Solo Taxonomy
- Developing the key competencies through dance (the Arts)
- Key Competencies Scavenger Hunt (Participating and Contributing)
includes instructions and student worksheet.

Monday, Week 8

This will have a couple of objectives...

* To consider the necessity of the 'Students Link Page' on the School Website,

* To view a couple of maths sites that could be used in current areas of learning,

*To initiate a 'Weblist/Livebinder' Gadget on the Teacher's Blog Page (and encourage the addition of weblists/livebinders to it),

*A showcasing of Turuturu blogs,

*A chance to look at other blogs (bring along the link to a fantastic blog you know of to share at the workshop),

*And a chance to work on your own blog.

Workshop 5 - Week 6 - 2011

Monday, Week 6

Our latest workshop discussed a couple of these ideas on how to effectively use our cameras to support the implementation of the curriculum into our classes.

Here are some ideas:

* demonstrate key competencies using role plays/etc (example).

* class plays to develop oral language etc (example)

* showcase learning and final products

*the children can use it to to show/teach sports

skills and techniques that they have learnt (example),

* record and provide evidence of hands on activities that

can be pasted into group modelling books

* take a photo of a setting for descriptive writing
*taking us on a learning journey with your class (example)
*showing quality learning in the classroom (example)
*videoing weekly news
* letter of the week (example)
